Excursions and Outings

Ensenada´s warm and semi-arid climate throughout the year provides countless opportunities for family recreation such as sport fishing, surfing, hiking, wine tasting and whale watching (seasonal).

Some of the key attractions that you can enjoy are the following:

The Riviera del Pacifico- a former hotel and gambling casino built in 1930 that now functions as Ensenada´s social, cultural and convention center. The Riviera has an open-air theatre and a historical museum.

“Malecon” or seaport walkway and Ventana al Mar Park with its monumental Mexican flag as well as Baja´s largest seafood market.

Museums such as the Regional History Museum, the Estero Beach Museum and the Museum of Anthropology and History (INAH).

“La Bufadora” is one of Ensenada´s most spectacular wonders. This blowhole spews ocean water up to 35 feet in the air with a mighty roar. At the Bufadora you can enjoy delicious fish tacos, a variety of delicious seafood dishes, churros, margaritas and piña coladas.

Wine tasting in Baja California´s oldest winery in town has (with daily) tours and tasting. Outside of the city, in the valleys of Guadalupe and San Antonio de Las Minas (20 minute car drive) you can also find a variety of wineries, each having tours and tastings on an appointment basis.

Important Note: The cost of tuition does not include transportation to any of the outings, entrance fees to the museums or wineries.
